Hello

I grew up in rural Colorado; I can navigate the woods with a compass but get lost in a city with clearly marked signs. I read all the books, but can’t be bothered with a single instruction manual. I’ve worked in over a dozen countries across five continents, but I'd fail a quiz on State capitals.

It is my not-so-secret hope to someday stumble through a portal. If it ever works out for me, I’ll send a post card.

Why I Write

The Stories Are True.

The stories that endure are true in some way.

Folklore, fairytales and mythology are all bound by the same thin, silver thread. Told around a crackling fire, these stories impart truths about our shared human condition.

I weave my family's lived experiences into all that I write; stories of immigrants, farmers, war veterans, orphans, and adventurers.

I write so our stories might live on as a thin, silver thread.

“ [...] There is truth below the surface of tales. [...] We can learn courage from them. [...] They can teach us how to live our lives.”
